Graduated from the renowned Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul School of Architecture and Urbanism (FAU-UFRGS), architect Fernanda Ostrowski M. Barreto founded her own practice, MB Arquitetura, in 2014 in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
Throughout her professional career in Brazil, Fernanda led numerous residential and commercial projects, developing an authorial architectural approach grounded in simplicity, functionality, and aesthetic refinement. Her work is rooted in meticulous architectural research and planning, with a focus on creating spaces that are lighter, more efficient, and timeless, while consistently enhancing the experience and well-being of their users.
In 2019, Fernanda relocated to Israel, marking the beginning of her international career and integrating MB Arquitetura into Ostrowski Architecture. Her experience in the Middle East broadened her architectural perspective, shaped by the region’s rich cultural heritage and diversity. During this period, she developed corporate, residential, and institutional projects, while also contributing to studies focused on the application of architectural well-being principles to healthcare and educational environments.
In 2023, driven by a continuous pursuit of new references, perspectives, and experiences, Fernanda expanded her horizons once again, relocating to the United States and establishing herself in Florida. This new chapter further strengthened a career defined by the integration of diverse cultures, architectural languages, and perspectives.
Today, Ostrowski Architecture develops projects in Brazil, Israel, and the state of Florida, United States, bringing to each project a multicultural, contemporary, and distinctive approach grounded in the integration of aesthetics, functionality, and well-being.
